Yes, it will die. Keep in mind it will still gain XP, so it's great for leveling pets.

it dies but that doesn't matter
to get a dire pet it just has to recieve very little dmg

the death cauzed by taking a wurm deals no damage

sulfur areas are greating for getting an intentional dire pet. u let the pet wail on master of dmg for about 20 min, go lvl it in wurms while it is dead.(SS/LB runs are great). auto dire. do like 4 at a time, making ur heros X/R with pets.

The idea was actually to play with 3 ranger heroes and me as ranger too, all of us with pets. Got bored with those cookie cutter builds, so wanted to try something different just for fun.

It's actually the Master of Healing. All I do is go /Mo for 12 Smiting, cast SoH on my pet, and lock the pet on the MoH. Go AFK for an hour, and the pet is ready to evolve to Dire.

I used to run a 2 Beast Master heroes + me as a Beast Master and was able to get some really good spikes. Think Discordway... it was super fast and safe.

That was about a year ago and I haven't used it since I got back though so not sure if it still works
